How much money is being raised?
With the contributions of the participants and sponsors we try to collect as much money as possible. In 2019 and 2022 we raised 10,000 euros twice! In 2020 and 2021 the Santa Run unfortunately did not take place due to the COVID-19 virus.
Can I also raise money for charity myself / can I get sponsored to raise more money for charity?
Of course! The charities can use all contributions. If you want to have your performance sponsored by friends, parents or colleagues, we welcome your contribution with open arms. We will gladly receive your contribution on account NL39 INGB 0663 9476 34 in the name of Stichting Community Service Rotary Club Delft-Vermeer. You can also donate extra via the registration form!
Is it allowed to run with your own suit, print it yourself or wear other (sponsored) clothing?
No, you can only participate in the Christmas suit purchased from us. Or the suit from last year but with a recent starting number. That not only makes it extra fun but also visible that you contribute to our goal!
Who can participate in the SantaRun?
Anyone who can walk. Age doesn't matter. How young or old you are is unimportant. How fast or hard you can run is even less important. It's all about having fun. Even a walking pace is allowed, as long as you're at the finish line at 3:30 PM! So whether you're 6, 16, 36 or 86, sign up and join in! With your friends, family, colleagues, team or classmates or any other fun group you can think of.
Is there an age limit for participation?
See above. NO, there is no age limit. As long as you can complete the 3 kilometers within an hour.
How much does it cost to participate?
€15.00 for adults, €10.00 for children. For that you get a Santa Claus suit to run the SantaRun. You also get a starting number (sticker). You can keep the suit! At the finish everyone gets a medal as a souvenir.
Can I participate as a company or (sports) team?
With pleasure! Each company or team can register as many people as it wants. Each participant will receive a Santa Claus suit from the SantaRun Delft.
We do not give discounts for groups; we would like to see everyone contribute equally to the charity.
There is also a possibility to sponsor the Rotary SantaRun. Please contact us!
What is the program for the day?
We will gather at 13:15 on the Burgwal and start the warm-up at 13:45. The starting signal is at 14:00 with the announcement of the amount raised. We expect the last participants at 15:30 at the finish where there will be a closing speech. But we will continue after that!
What size is my Christmas suit?
There are 2 sizes: 1 for children (up to approx. 135 cm), 1 for adults. If you already have a suit from last year and want to reuse it; just pick up your starting number, then we will make sure that your suit gets a good destination!
